This stylish store at the edge of the Latin Quarter in Paris just has to be visited by anyone interested in art or style.

The two North African sisters who run the store have collected a stunning array of items from across Africa. The pieces in their collection range from the exquisitely crafted furniture, a subtle combination of class French designs and powerful ethnic motifs, to a fabulous collection of Central African masks (make sure to ask the staff about the symbolism of the masks if you would rather have a peaceful harvest mask from the Cote d' Ivoire rather than a demon doll from the Congo!).

The store's catalogues collect the large number of articles written about the shop in leading French architecture journals and design magazines: it seems no French interior design shoot is complete without at least one piece from Concept Ethnic's exquisite collection!

Concept Ethnic also has an excellent collection of wooden sculpture, ranging from antique pieces with striking primal motifs, to exquisitely carved pieces of more recent origin. The collection of hand-woven fabrics, in lustrous browns and deep ochre, are also worth a second (and even third) look. Indeed, for anyone interested in "ethnic-chic" interior décor, Concept Ethnic cannot be missed on a trip to Paris.
