Italian splatterfest undead film with unprecedented amounts of gore - this film loosely follows up from Dawn of the Dead despite not being the official sequel. A ghost boat arrives in New York City, drifting slowly by the Statue of Liberty on its grim onward journey.

Upon investigation by a couple of police officers a rather spectacularly gruesome Zombie appears….with an insatiable appetite for human flesh. It's a promising opening scene but one has to wait a considerable time for more of the same.

There is a great underwater shark vs Zombie wrestling match and then the infamous splinter-in-the-eye scene which is included in all its considerable glory and the final attack scene is something to behold. The film however lacks tightness of direction and thus there isn't much suspense or tension. Its really more of a gore effects showcase as is unfortunately the case with so much Spaghetti Splatter.
