When a film's advertising tag line reads "featuring the star of Witchboard 2" you know we are treading seriously dodgy territory indeed. Yet, Ticks comes off as a reasonable effort with some nifty tick effects, including super cool "tick-cam" and weird scuttling noises.

Not at all bad, with the requisite amount of humour to be a decent view. Seth Green, will be recognized by one and all as Dr. Evil's son, Scott. This b-moves along quite nicely and along with The Nest, featuring cockroaches on the rampage, would make a marvelous Sunday afternoon creature feature.

Ticks is a cheap production yet manages to avoid that horrible made for TV look. Its not at all bad for what it is - a low budget, tongue in cheek creature feature with some nifty effects and humour. Not to be missed by genre fans, along with The Nest and The Deadly Spawn.
