Yet another Halloween rip off, but not one of the worst of its kind by a long way. The director, who later went on to bigger if not necessarily better things, did a decent job in maintaining a level of interest by skillfully concealing the killer's identity until the very end. He also manages to create a sense of claustrophobia within the narrow corridors and chambers of the Terror Train. Its nothing to write home about but there are enough decent things about it to elevate it some levels above similar fodder that was coming out by the cartload in the early and mid eighties. Jamie Lee, even in her early years, lends class to an otherwise totally B grade production. A must for fans of the slasher genre.
