.A psyhcotic underrated Leo Kroll (Victor Buono) goes around strangling women leaving very little evidence for the police to work on. Leo's paranoid existence is due to his overpowering mother who has driven him to resort to murder in order to feel good about himself.

The mother has led him to believe that he is a good for nothing bum who nobody gives a damn about.

Buono gives a magnificent performance.

The film is full of suspense, terror and is chilling throughout. Leo's mother gives a very impressive performance. Leo's character is one which the viewers can identify with, thus his effectiveness is immense.

A very well made and acted film, one of the better serial killer films.
