Olivia de Haviland , an incapacitated widow, finds herself stuck in an elevator in her own house. To make matters worse, demented thugs break in to rob her place and plan to murder her.

Although Olivia is a renowned actress this wasn't one of her better films. Her performance was irritating beyond belief. The constant screaming and shouting, the ringing of bells and the trashing of the house makes the film very loud, almost unbearable.

The last twenty minutes are a real test of patience and endurance. Everything starts to get on one's nerves. On the whole the plot was a good one, however the acting and the directing let the film down big time. Notable for being the debut film of James Caan.
