Roger Corman's amiable B Monster movie is a farcical but enormously enjoyable creature feature from the gruesome 80's. The acting is worse then amateurish but its quite in keeping with the madness and mayhem breaking loose on screen.

The plot (!) goes a little like this…the local river running through a town of bumpkins has been "polluted" resulting in nasty things happening to the towns tuna supply. Suddenly tuna monsters with protruding brains are romping around ravaging human innocents BUT the worse still, they are not killing the women, but impregnating them in order to perpetuate their ghastly mutated race of Tuna monsters.

Vintage monster movie mayhem ensues with plenty of scenes of outrageous looking and rather lustful monsters attacking the not so innocent nubile nudies that seem to be in rich supply.

The film ends with a rip roaring epic final 20 minutes or so when the admittedly fabulous creatures go on the rampage, savaging the town highly tacky fishing festival. Its all highly unimaginative, absolutely typical monster movie material - succeeding because of its outright tackiness and lack of all political correctness as well as the magnificent monsters created by special effects master Rob Bottin.

In Europe the film was known as "Monster" rather then "Humanoids from the Deep". Very bad, very funny and highly enjoyable film. Vintage for purveyors of cheap and shlocky monster movies. Wonderful, vintage heap of garbage - one of the many bad movies that we love!
