Just when you thought you had seen it all, along comes this little shocker to stretch limits way beyond normal snapping point. This film was shot within four weeks on a truly minuscule budget by student director Sam Raimi and features some of his mates in the lead roles.

It is a totally demented horror film, gleefully over the top but manages to startle, shock and surprise at a relentless pace. Grim and decidedly nasty, this is a horror classic of major proportions, with an enormous following. Ash is now widely regarded as a Superhero! Truly epic stuff.
