A hoot of a Psycho reworking by Brian De Palma with chunks of Vertigo thrown in for good measure. Its highly derivative but that aside, the long and deliciously stylish set pieces ultimately outweigh the downside.

A brilliant score, as usual, by Pino Donaggio heightens the drama and tension. Hugely entertaining with a remarkable performance by Michael Caine as a shrink. Nearly managed to do for elevators what Psycho did for showers, but not quite.

Brilliant, stylish if flawed fun all the same and Bobby makes a fabulous screen psycho.
