Brilliant yet untypical Hammer production featuring the incomparably madcap Tallulah Bankhead in her last film appearance. She is simply phenomenal in this tale of a batty, psychotic old witch keeping the memory of her beloved son alive - oh so desperately. Many shades of Psycho and watch out too for Donald Sutherland in an early role as a retard. A gem of a film and an appropriate parting shot form a memorable Ms. Bankhead. In our opinion, a huge and instant camp classic.
