. Dreadful, muddled remake - a travesty and so far removed from the brilliance of the original that it almost tarnishes a wonderful reputation. Best expunged from memory. A pathetic and needless remake of a superb cult classic.

Really, the less said about this horrid piece of tripe the better - and, what's more, we are trying to avoid using obscenities on the site unless absolutely unavoidable. This film is as big a piece of shite as we have come across for a pretty long time. What a sell out for Wes Craven to be lending his name to such rot.

First the dreadful Wishmaster and now this. One shudders to think of what depths the next "Wes Craven presents" installment is going to plummet to after these two screaming stinkers. Surely Wes didn't need the extra cash!? Strictly for masochists.
