A baby alligator flushed down the toilet grows to a monstrous 30 feet as it feeds on a diet of animals used to for hormone experimentation. The alligator with its extraordinary appetite starts taking a liking to human flesh too. The monster is driven out of the sewerage into the city where it causes havoc and mayhem. It then feasts upon the man who was responsible for it's creation a la Frankenstein. This is a very witty film,
the side characters are very appropriate and Chief Clark and Doctor
Rendall's mother shine in their respective roles. The two things that
stand out are: a) The sensational death scene of the reporter and
b) The brilliant interview given by the specialist big game hunter
- hired to kill the alligator by the devious mayor. Although not very
scary it's still a highly entertaining film.
