They say "what you reap is what you sow…..

In the case of 60's star Akmal……This dashing actor was known as the Dilip Kumar of Punjabi films (so was Sudhir for that matter) - it's said that ever since his first film became a stupendous success, he began to change for the worse growing more rude, haughty, arrogant and headstrong with each further hit.

Once, veteran M. Ismail and some others were waiting on the sets for Akmal to arrive. In those days he was having a raging affair with femme fatale Firdous and would often be "caught up" and arrive late for work. As Akmal sauntered in he acted as though nothing was untoward and walked casually by the waiting unit without even a salaam. Instead he passes some obnoxious remark pertaining to his own exploits. When Akmal returned, the veteran Ismail tried to explain to the errant star some basic manners upon which the oldie received a terse retort. A few weeks later poor Ismail passed away and the film he was working on was never to be completed. However Akmal didn't fare much better as he lurched from bottle to bottle and binged on drugs and Firdous. He died while still in his pomp leaving thousands of fans weeping at his sorry demise.

Akmal couldn't tear himself away from her!

Once, Rani and Waheed Murad were creating a heck of a fuss while working in "Baharo Phool Barsao" for veteran Mohammad Sadiq. Their total non cooperation and childish antics literally drove Sadiq to tears several times during the shoot and he was to suffer a severe stroke and die soon after. His friend who was also the producer of the film forced Rani's husband Hassan Tariq to complete the film as a way of making amends for his wife's atrocious behaviour.

However, in later times, both Rani and Waheed Murad were to suffer miserable fates while still fairly young. Murad had already broken up with his wife and was virtually estranged from the rest of his family who had grown to resent his starry behaviour. This is when he had a drunken car accident and was hospitalized. Not a soul came to visit him or even phone to enquire about his condition. By the time he died, he was a desolate and lonely man who had isolated himself from everyone he loved. Even in death, only his fans mourned for him, but his family and relatives remained aloof.

Died of AIDS with a coffin nailed on so that no one could see her

Rani, the magazine claims died in a horrible condition - so awful that the Edhi people who cared for her in the end when everyone had abandoned her including husband Sarfaraz Nawaz. Rani's body was sealed in a case and buried without even her nearest getting a glimpse of her to say farewell. It is said that she succumbed to the AIDS virus, which wouldn't be such a surprise considering who her last husband was. Speaking of scumbags, don't be too surprised if you find this very article, word for word on another site calling itself HiPakistan. These pitiful scumbags have felt no qualms at all about thieving our work and claiming it to be their own.....we are not the only one's to suffer as this scummy site seems to exist on pilfering from others and presenting the work as their own. Just in case you do read this article on their site, remember that this is original work by the mad folks at The Hot Spot........after all, who else could write such lurid, gossipy, frivolous, sensationalised, trashy stuff other than yours truly!

Another inglorious end came to another fellow who had the reputation of being foul tempered and mouthed and took pleasure in lashing out mercilessly at anyone whenever it suited him. Iqbal Hassan - the rotund hero of the 60's and 70's. He was supposedly an exceedingly big letch which was no doubt a side effect of his devotion to alcohol. One fateful day (November 21, 1984) on the sets of Jhoora, Iqbal Hassan suddenly stood bolt upright and demanded that his buddies Aslam Parvez and Ilyas Kashmiri join him on an early morning drinking binge just to get the day started off properly. Kashmiri wasn't accustomed to drinking in the day time and politely refused the boorish Hassan, but Parvez couldn't resist. Off stormed a boisterous and out of control Iqbal Hassan and his immensely likeable (and wealthy co star) Aslam Parvez. Moment's later news started filtering back that a drunken Hassan had crashed into a pole and had been instantly killed. Parvez fought valiantly for his life a further five days before slipping away from his adoring fans forever.

Munawar Zareef was another shining light that ended in dim circumstances. He had apparently become completely besotted and obsessed with Babra Sharif and couldn't contain his alcoholism due to this all consuming obsession. His friends say he would often be drinking desi whiskey at breakfast and it didn't take long for his kidneys to cave in and Zareef also fell victim to the deadly duo of obsession fuelled by alcohol.

Remember Nanna? He was obsessed by a tart called Nazli and killed himself in frustration as his family refused to accept her as their daughter in law.

Shama tries hard to justify this lurid article by explaining that today's artistes should learn from the errors of those who have gone before…..who are they trying to kid!!?
